Traditional Levkas Icon Board for Orthodox & Byzantine Icon Painting

This professional icon board is prepared in our family workshop in Ukraine using traditional icon-painting methods.

The panel is made from carefully selected solid wood and reinforced with hardwood splines for long-term stability. A natural Pavoloka fabric is applied to the surface, followed by traditional Levkas (gesso), carefully prepared, layered and hand-sanded to create a smooth, absorbent surface ready for icon painting.

This is not a factory-primed art panel. It is a traditional icon board made specifically for iconographers who value proper materials, stability and an authentic painting surface.
